How do you pick what to share?

Here are some thoughts that guide the decision-making about what to share on this site.

Sharing Indigenous voices, analysis and writing is a priority. 

We try to find information that explains concepts, topics and issues in a way that is accessible to as many people as possible.  This means there is more non-academic writing than academic writing on the site. This may change depending on the feedback received.

We do our best to make our own writing on the site as clear as we can. 

We do our best to share information that is reliable. This includes sharing original texts whenever that makes sense (for example, the text of Treaty 1).

We know not everyone learns in the same way.  We try to support this by finding information in different formats - that is, written, video and audio.

What is shared on the site will probably change over time.  We will keep sharing this site with as many Indigenous community members as possible and follow their suggestions and advice about what to post.

This site is based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba on Treaty 1 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis Nation. ​
