What connections with Indigenous peoples does this site have?

Being responsive to the feedback of Indigenous community members is very important to the people who work on this this site. 

When the site was first thought of an outline document was shared with 17 Indigenous people living in Manitoba. These people were men and women, different ages, students, educators and community activists. They included people who identify as part of the GLBTTQ2S community.  You can read a copy of the outline document here.


Before the site was launched it was shared with the same group of people, plus a few others, to get more feedback.



We are grateful and would like to acknowledge the replies that we received.  This site is stronger and a more generous space because of that input.

The individuals who work on this site have relationships with Indigenous peoples from a range of communities and social groups in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. The plan is to share the site for feedback and input on an ongoing basis.  


People are welcome to send suggestions of resources for the site to share.  This can be done on the Suggest a Resource; Submit an Event page. 
This site is based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba on Treaty 1 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis Nation. ​
